Terms of use
These terms apply to your use of the Birmingham Psychiatry website. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Our role
Birmingham Psychiatry is an introductory agency. We connect instructing solicitors and barristers with psychiatric experts who undertake medico-legal work. We do not provide clinical or legal advice, we do not assess any subject ourselves, and we do not enter into a clinician–patient relationship with anyone.
Independence of experts
Where we propose an expert, that expert is independently instructed by you under separate terms and fees. The expert owes their primary duty to the court under CPR Part 35 and equivalent procedural rules and will give their opinion accordingly. Nothing on this site is intended to influence or constrain that independence.
Information on the site
The information on this site is provided for general guidance and is not advice. While we take care to keep the site accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that it is error-free or complete. You should not rely on information on the site as a substitute for taking specific professional advice for your matter.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, layout, and design, is owned by or licensed to Birmingham Psychiatry. You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial reference. You may not otherwise copy, adapt, or republish content without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site:
- In any unlawful way or for any unlawful purpose.
- To send or upload material that is harmful, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others.
- To attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or to interfere with its operation.
Third-party links
The site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content of those sites and a link does not amount to an endorsement.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from reliance on its contents. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version is the version that applies each time you use the site.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any such dispute.
